Starter Locs | Consultation Required

Starting your loc journey is personal, and every head of hair is different. Before booking your Starter Locs appointment, a 15-minute consultation is required, either in person or by video call.

We’ll look at your hair length, thickness and texture, chat about the size and number of locs you’re wanting, whether you’d like extensions, and the overall look you’re hoping to create. This allows me to estimate the time needed and plan your appointment properly.

A full head of starter locs can take 6–12+ hours and, depending on your hair and what we’re creating, may be completed over more than one appointment.

Book your 15-minute consultation first, then we’ll map out your loc journey from there.

I’m Penelope, a somatic practitioner, therapist, yoga teacher and claircognizant intuitive. I offer individual and couples therapeutic counselling, somatic and traditional bodywork, Guided Readings, and teachings grounded in yoga as a framework for living.

My work is rooted in the knowing that the body holds wisdom, and that when we create space to listen, soften and reconnect, what has been buried can begin to move.

ReAwakening weaves together body, mind, spirit, intuition and the nervous system, supporting you to release what no longer belongs, remember what has always been within you, and return more deeply to yourself.

And because ReAwakening can take many forms, you’ll also find Ritual Locs here. Dreadlock creation and maintenance sit under the ReAwakening umbrella, bringing the same intention, care and grounded space to your loc journey.
